Spiritual liberation involves affirmation and acceptance of the enduring quality of one’s core goodness. It also requires a recognition of personal obstacles and the choice to become free from interior barriers that limit spiritual growth. This retreat day focuses on an in-depth approach to becoming a more whole human being, one whose vision and way of life becomes ever more transparent and Gospel-oriented. This inner freedom leads to an expansion of compassion and to dwelling in fuller harmony with both self and the larger world. Come and restore your joy, peace and passion for life. The day includes communal prayer, presentations by Joyce, quiet times of reflection and opportunity for small group dialogue.
It’s easy, as we rush from one thing to the next, for us to feel off-balance, overwhelmed, or lacking in purpose. Anchors for the Soul offers a morning of re-orientation, rootedness and restored inspiration in order to live peacefully within the endless tasks and anxieties that come our way. This retreat will include creative, communal prayer; a presentation by Joyce
Rupp; quiet reflection time and an opportunity for dialogue. Come and join in these brief hours that can bring us back to our center and remind us of the depth of stillness within
(Joyce will be available for signing her latest book, Anchors of the Soul, before and after the retreat.)
This retreat offers an opportunity to explore the depths of the many layered components of compassion as reflected in the central qualities of the life and teachings of Jesus. It aims to
expand and deepen one’s understanding of compassion from both a personal and professional perspective. Insights from numerous dimensions, including theology, spirituality, science, sociology and psychology are included. The retreat serves as a catalyst for a renewed commitment to be a compassionate presence to oneself and to those who are in the midst of pain and struggle. The Boundless Compassion retreat components include communal prayer, video resources, small group dialogue, and extended quiet times for reflection. This retreat is open to persons from all faith traditions.
This is the only extended retreat that Joyce will be offering this year. She will lead the retreat along with the co-directors of the Boundless Compassion program: Servite Sisters Margaret Stratman and Valeria Lewandoski.
This workshop is only open to those who have participated in the four day retreat on compassion. Participants will be trained to facilitate the Boundless Compassion program through their varied professional and volunteer activities. This day will be led by the three co-directors who presented the Boundless Compassion retreat.
